My new routine for the last 2 and half months is riding my bike to work and back. I love it. I have missed riding bikes around town, I don't even remember why I stopped. But I am back to it and really enjoying it.
I did this illustration a month ago and thought it fit perfectly for this week's theme. I added the sleeping dachshund (one of my favorite types of dogs) and some texture.
Thanks for visiting :)
Cute! I love the little dog strapped in the back seat! :)
ReplyDeletePS: Mimi (our drummer) has a long hair dachshund! He is a ball of energy!
This is wonderful! Good on you for riding your bike to work.
ReplyDeletecute doggy!
ReplyDeleteCute illo. Does your give your dog a lift to his office? he doesn't seem very appriciative about this whole travelling business :)

kelly - this is so cute! I love the dog and the la la la. thanks for your comment on mine!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to ride my bike to work, but it such a short trek from the bedroom to my office, and I don't think my wife would like having bike tracks on the carpet! :P
ReplyDeleteSeriously, though, the illo is cute. And how nice to be close enough to work to ride your bike.
Excellent! Simplifying a bicycle for illustration can be daunting, but I love your solution.
ReplyDeleteAnd even though my illo is about driving a car, my favorite way to get around the city is on my trusty bike!
Soooo cute. Love the wee wiener dog in the back. I commend you for taking the initiative to ride you bike to work. I bet it puts you in a great mood, first thing, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a happy illo! So cheery and colorful, and GOOD FOR YOU for biking to work! We've been carless for a year now, so I walk everywhere or take public transportation, and it makes me feel better about myself. Over here, I see lots of women biking in skirts and high heels!
ReplyDeleteThis is too cute and I love the addition of the dog!
ReplyDeleteThat's cool! Too bad I don't live somewhere "bike friendly"...I'm in the middle of the boonies, but there's HUGE hills. With my outta shape body, I'd never make it! :) Love your illustration! Great routine to have!
ReplyDeleteHey, I'm a teacher and I just caught my own mistake! I should have written "there ARE huge hills" not "there'S huge hills" :) Sorry, it's the teacher in me!
ReplyDeleteWhat a charming illus - love your doggie... and what a great routine you have. Also Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteI really like this. The color, textures, and of course the snoozing puppy! Great work.
