Custom Dog Illustration

I had a friend ask me to create a custom illustration for a condolence card. The lab, Lexi, passed away last week. I like to think my sweet pets will be in a beautiful place enjoying all the things they love when they are no longer with me. These are always tough but I hope it brings a warm smile to their sad heart.

Drawing black animals is challenging for me. But I think this ended up working.

St. Patrick's Day Digital Stamp Set

Here is my digital stamp version of the St. Paddy's day clip art. I don't have a sample because I sadly lack in the scrapbook/handmade card making skills. I keep seeing some of the most amazing work from scrapbook artists and am inspired to play around. We shall see.

Leprechaun + Butterfly Day

I'm working on a new St. Patrick's Day theme clip art set for MyGrafico and got a little distracted with this character and kept my hand drawn style and colored it. I don't know if this style is as popular as my other vector style, but I do know, I like it!

Link Love

In honor of this Sugary-Delicious Valentine's day I thought this would be a great time for some Link Love.

I feel so fortunate to be meeting so many wonderful illustrators and designers lately that I want to share some of the new additions to my neglected blog roll.

Definitely visit these sites and be ready for inspiration explosion. Amazing talent.

Gaia Bordicchia - Absolutely beautiful work.

Manola - Gorgeous color and style.

Amanda Chronister - I love her style and she cracks me up on Twitter!

Morena Forza - I love the mood and style of her enchanting artwork.

Bubble Friends - Happy and adorable artwork.

Mabelle R.O. - Simply sweet illustrations.

I have to stop now because our fudgie brownies have cooled down enough to cut up and add some vanilla icecream *stomach growled* I'm sure you understand. Yum!

Enjoy the sites! Let me know what you think.

February 14 aka Day of Love

The day of love is finally here! So pack it all in.. love like you never have before. Then tomorrow go back to complacency and neglect. I'm kidding! Don't do that! Continue the love all year round. You deserve it and so do they!

Have a wonderful day :)

Want to?

A doodle has come to life! This little kitty evolved from a random drawing on a To-Do List into a greeting card idea or it might work for a little bit of happy wall art. I am very pleased with how it turned out. I LOVE the colors which always helps keep me inspired when working on a piece.

I can't wait for the weather to let us get out and play!

Bunny Dancer Rev

I woke up and looked at my post from last night and decided I really just wasn't happy with the colors. I'm liking bold colors right now but those colors weren't exactly working for me. After a dreary winter, who isn't, right? I still am not 100% happy with this but it is time to move on and start working on other projects. Just got to let it go...Sheesh!

Bunny Dancer

My Saturday has been packed with learning lots from all over the internet and getting set up on more networking. Wow, does it take a bit of work to get your name out and about. And the internet is very much like a mental vortex. I can get so overwhelmed from all the amazing artists and information out there. After a full morning of research I ended up having to lay down for 20 minutes to let my mind rest.

I did get time to watch Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince with my sweetie and then ended the night with finishing this illustration. I was going to pick one of these illustrations and I realized actually I should put them together to make one. I like how it turned out.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend too!

Hello February!

Last night, as I was dozing off, I remembered this illustration I created last year for my Sweetie's Valentine. It is one of my favorite illustrations and I didn't get to share it as much as I wanted. So the idea for it being a February desktop image (or other months) seemed perfect.

I made several sizes for normal monitors and widescreen. Click your monitor size and then right click to "Save image as...".

Normal:
1600 x 1200

Widescreen:
1680 x 1050

A couple of these were acting a little weird so let me know if you have any problems with the size you need. :)

I was inspired by my friend, Flora Chang of Happy Doodle Land who has an adorable February image up now too.
