Everything is Going to Be All Right

This is a great reminder for us all when dealing with our day-to-day-self-doubt stressed craziness. I saw this over at Design is Mine blog and had to share it. This awesome print is by Eva Juliet and available in her Etsy shop. She has quite a few great typographic prints and some very sweet illustration prints, like the one below.

This is another great one I saw and made me think of one of my dearest friends.

Thanks Frizz!

I was a lucky winner over at FrizzleStix last month. It was a wonderful surprise! How flippin' cute is this illustration. This is called Tea Cup Swan print.

She is super talented and sells her prints, rubber stamps, and fabric at her Etsy shop.

A Book of Image Awesomeness!

(image from Amazon.)

I've been buying lots of new books lately. I LOVE receiving books in the mail. Most of them have been educational reads, but this week the new Print and Pattern book arrived and is one of my favorites. This book is packed with inspirational images of awesomeness! Delicious eye candy!

This awesome collection all started with Bowie Style's - Print and Pattern blog. I'm sure most of you know of this site. But if you don't, and love surface design or just like looking at wonderful artist's work this is the blog to bookmark.

I'm resisting the desire to add it to my bag every day when I go to my day job. I tend to over stuff my bag with books, notebooks, magazines, you name it. For now it is sitting right next my desk at home. :)

Petit Reve

A few weeks ago I received these two lovely prints in the mail from the super talented Sarah. I finally got some frames and the weather semi-cooperated (bright cloudy day instead of dreary dark rainy day) so I could take a photo.

A few months back, Sarah opened an Etsy shop - Petit Reve - to help save money for her daughter, Michel, to take a trip to France. Both, Sarah and Michel, create the art which makes for a wonderful variety and awesome style. I had a super hard time picking only two! Sarah has recently added brooches to her products and they are super cute!

Sir Hedgefield Hedge Hog just makes me smile.

If you have a need for some awesome wall art (who doesn't, right!?) check out her Petit Reve Etsy shop.

Here are a few pieces below that I really liked. You should definitely go check out his site and see all his great work. Very inspiring!

Great textures and colors.
Such great line work and I love black and white illustrations.

Illustration + Tangent + Inspiration

For a quick illustration tonight, I played around with using my mouse and brush to make shapes, instead of my usual pen tool in Illustrator. I'm wanting to start using my Wacom tablet in the near future, but I still find it so awkward. Baby steps. Okay, slight /tangent, but whenever I say "baby steps" I always think of What About Bob , have you seen it? If not, you should. Bill Murray is so funny!... /end tangent. :)

Check out this talented illustrator I recently found in the March/April 2008 Communication Arts, Jessica Hische, great illustrations and typography.

Kirsten Ulve I found Kirsten Ulve's work quite a few years ago and recently found it buried amongst my other bookmarks - she has added a ton of new work and it is so vibrant and unique.
