Illustration Friday - Old Fashioned

Gah, another late submission, but I really wanted to participate again this week. Since I love bicycling so much I figured in the past I would've ridden one of these old fashioned bicycles. Cute Stuff

I went up to Portland this weekend and visited an old friend. While I was there we went by Powell's Book Store. I love their stationery and gift sections. So much cute and fun stuff. Above is what I snatched up.

The vintage tiger tile coaster is probably my favorite thing. The awesome snack containers are going to be so happily handy for my lunches and the stationery pads for sending little notes in packages. Happy!

+++ Update: I was looking up the vintage tiger to see who the artist might be but found the shop that sells them, Robotcandy, on Etsy. They are based in Portland and sell their coasters via Powell's too. Check it out! There are some awesome coasters on this site! I know, a shopping I will go!

Elephant Appreciation Day

I randomly learned today is Elephant Appreciation Day. I had no idea there was such a day! I was catching up on my google reader and Tiny Prints blog made a mention of it. I immediately knew what I would be drawing for fun and sharing on my blog - a sweet and wonderful elephant! Hey, I love any excuse to draw an elephant and this was a great way to show my love! Ever since I can remember they have been my favorite animal - though the list is growing longer as I get older - they remain at the top!

Take a moment to appreciate these fine, intelligent, monsterously awesome animals.

Fun Cars, Trucks & Scooters Stickers and Paper Pack

These were a lot of fun to make. I love stickers! I always have. I had a huge sticker collection as a kid and resumed collecting in my mid-20's. The paper pack is a great compliment for these stickers. I need to find local friends with kids so I can make all these things!
