Beezie Bee Lip Balm
Labels are made! Labels are made!
I made the lip balm about 4 months ago and got tired of walking around with just white tubes. I had to jazz em up a little! Tweet Follow @kellymedina

First Felt Elephant
Here is my first attempt at my elephant "mascot". I have a few changes I will definitely make, like increase the overall size, play around with how I will do ear, play with tail options. I 2nd guessed myself while I was cutting out the felt and thought I would try a different tail than I originally thought. But think I will go back to my original idea of for the tail. I had fun making this little elephant. More to come! I'm hooked! Tweet Follow @kellymedina

My Lil Burt Chick
I've been getting myself very excited about creating my own little creatures. But to get myself started I tried out mollychicken's tutorial to make this chick. It has given me lots of confidence in creating my own little guys. So check back for posts on those lil cuties. Oooh the mind is twinkling with ideas! :) Tweet Follow @kellymedina

Shoe Tree
Chris and The Shoe Tree
Close up of one of the branches
On our trip to Idaho we came across a very interesting tree. As we were driving towards it on the windy roads we both asked "what is up with that tree?", once we close enough we could see that it was a bunch of tied shoes hanging all over it. We couldn't stop or turn around easily, so we both promised we would definitely remember to get a photo of it on the drive back to Oregon.
Do realize that this tree is between Vale and Burns, Oregon, and really there isn't anything all that close in regards to a town or city. So whoever did this really took some time and effort to make it possible. We were impressed! If you ever find yourself doing the trip on Highway 20 in Oregon as you are making your way towards the Idaho border you will find The Shoe Tree at mile marker 207 along the windy road - near the fresh water stop. I always find these type of things interesting - someone really wanted to make a Shoe Tree that would catch all travelers attention. Well done! Tweet Follow @kellymedina

ooOOh Fabrics!
I told myself that I wasn't going to buy fabrics just because I liked them, that I was going to only buy for the current project and really keep a limit on how much I stock pile. uh huh, riiiiight! Well here are a few of the fabrics I couldn't resist.. I tried.. I swear.. I'm so weak....
Oh Pink! I remember there was a time in the 80's that I really liked pink and all sorts of gawd awful things and I thought that all had passed. Nope! I was wrong. I love pink. I love brown! I love orange! I love color!
Here are some fabrics I found last weekend and absolutely love! They are so vibrant and I can't wait to get them made into things! Tweet Follow @kellymedina

Sewing Project: My Apron
I thought I should show the first apron attempt, which is now my apron and I use it all the time! I didn't use to be much of an apron person till I made this one. I love it! I think I am becoming a sewing junkie.

Sewing Project: Mom's Apron
This is the 2nd apron I have made so far. The first one had a few imperfections that I just couldn't get over. This one came out quite a bit better and will be for my mom's birthday. Tweet Follow @kellymedina
