I found the missing piece! :) Found this laying on the sidewalk near the flower bed I was taking photos of. It's one of my favorite shots.

This is the beauty of your art and your ability. It takes no effort whatsoever to appreciate the delicacy and grace of a flower. It takes a true artist to direct the viewer's eye toward the mundane and overlooked objects that surround our lives, even the "ugly": that tin roof, the tack on that post, the reflection amid the dials of the power meter, and now this puzzle piece. You are truly an artist and should pat yourself on the back for reminding us all that everything in life is beautiful. It reminds me of that quote from AMERICAN BEAUTY, "There's this entire life behind things. Sometimes there's so much beauty in the world I feel like I can't take it, like my heart's going to cave in."
Please, Kelly, never forget how good and capable you are, and never lose sight of the talent that I know drives you.
Thank you both for such kind comments - I really appreciate the encouragement. Every comment I get on my blog means the world to me and keeps me feeling inspired.
Great shot! I was wondering where that piece was! haha. That reminds me.. my Mom gets leftovers from her neighbors, and she freezes it all. She gives me some of the leftovers to take back home. So.. I was eating those leftovers one day, and bit down on a puzzle piece.. ech! Put me off that food for quite a while!

VERY good job!
I really like this shot too. You're photo project is so enjoyable to follow, you really have a knack for bringing out the simple beauty in things.
Curt's comment brought a tear to my eye. Beautiful comment and you deserve it. Keep up the good work girl!

Too funny, Salix. That must have been a surprise to find that in your food!
